About Us

The Electronics & Audio Visual Production (E&AVP) group is a sub unit of the Faculty of Mathematics, Computing and Technology (MCT) and provides a fully integrated Electronic, Mechanical and Multimedia design and development service to the University.

We provide support primarily, but not exclusively, to MCT and Science based disciplines and also provide support to the Open University overall. Occasionally, we also collaborate with local businesses and organisations in the Milton Keynes and surrounding areas (Outreach programme), as well as charitable organisations within the United Kingdom, on a mutually beneficial basis.

The department provides a wide range of services to all staff. If you have an Electronics, Mechanical or Multimedia related problem we are your first port of call. We have extensive experience in supporting a wide range of activities, including the design and development of specialised equipment for research and teaching applications.

We also have Public Address (PA) equipment for loan and we can provide assistance with this if required. Please contact us for further details.

We also supply Computer Consumable items to staff within the Science and MCT Faculties, here at the Open University. Please click on the 'Computer Consumables' link on the left hand side of this page for more details. Please note that this page can only be viewed by staff within the OU.

The main services provided by the department are as follows. Click on a link for more information.
